Our Curriculum
Grove Villa provides care and education in an environment where children feel safe and supported, and where their learning and development can flourish. We celebrate the skills of every baby and young child in our care.
We’re passionate about developing our curriculum in fresh, creative ways. Our dedicated team look after each other like family, and go above and beyond for you and your child.
Our staff support play by setting the stage and following your child’s interests. Our curriculum and extra-curricular activities then introduce new ideas and experiences, giving your child the framework to grow and explore.
Age Groups
We care for three age groups at Grove Villa: our under-2 ‘Discoverers’, our 2-year-old ‘Explorers’ and our 3 to 5-year-old ‘Inventors’. Each group has its own dedicated room, with the space and age-specific learning environment children need to thrive and develop the skills they’ll carry into the next stage of their early years journey.

Discoverers
Babies to 2 year-old's
The 0–2-year-olds receive love, comfort and security in their own dedicated environments. They are stimulated by learning through sensory and exploratory play using a wide range of toys and equipment to prepare them for the activities to come when they reach 2 years.

Explorers
2-3 year-old's
For 2-3-year olds, learning through play forms the basis of daily activity. Practitioners plan activities around the children's current interests and next steps in development. The children are also encouraged to choose their own activities from our large range of varied toys and aids designed to foster physical development, manipulative skills, role play and creativity. There are bricks, games, cars, dolls, books, paints, glue, dressing up clothes, puzzles, a climbing frame etc. There are open areas for physical play and cosy corners for quieter activities. Typically, stories are read in one of these areas to provide a relaxed atmosphere to snuggle down with a book.

Inventors
3-5 year-old's
Our dedicated pre-school classrooms give all children aged 3-5 years opportunities to enjoy learning. Our 'Inventors' will experience a wide range of activities indoors and outdoors, supporting all children to achieve their potential and encourage children and their families to link learnings at home and setting. Each child is given the time to be able to express, grow and strive to do their very best.
We promote creativity and give children the opportunities to be imaginative and critical thinkers. We strive to help children develop confidence and independence in preparation for school.
We promote high standards of behaviour. Children learn to be sensitive to the needs and feelings of others, as well as high level of respect. These traits are often noted from the local schools as well as the children's independence and to be able to manage themselves within their Reception years.
